Hello. I have just recently visited the waterpowered triphammer and industrial site at the war veterans park in West Bridgwater mass.I wasa wondering if anybody knew of any arceological works especially a diagram or map of the site.it was a gristmill in the 1600's and also a large triphammer which made shovels, and I think there was once a sawmill as well.all water powered and a very interesting site. The buildings are all gone now but much of the fine quality stonwork foundations, sluice ways a small amount of iron works still remains.Any help would be appreciated. Please feel free to e-mail me. Thanks.

Try State Historic Preservation Commission in Boston. Ask if there are any survey works (books) that include the site, or whether an archaeologist might have documented the site (HABS/HAER are the Historical American Building Survey/ " " Engineering Record ---- they may have surveyed the property and recorded it -- don't know if they have web sites, but State HP can tell you...) Good luck..
